This policy sets what ads on the Verified Enquiries enquiry-ads network may contain, and which websites may show them. It applies to advertisers and ad partners alike. Every ad and every website is reviewed before it goes live.
1. Every ad must
- be honest, legal and decent, and follow the Code of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI);
- name the real advertiser, and offer something that is actually available as described;
- state prices accurately, including whether GST is extra;
- use only text and images the advertiser owns or has permission to use.
2. Not allowed
- Anything illegal in India, or that promotes illegal activity.
- Adult or sexual content, escort or adult dating services.
- Gambling, betting, lotteries and real-money games.
- Weapons, ammunition and explosives; tobacco, e-cigarettes and vaping products; alcohol, including surrogate ads; drugs, prescription medicines and controlled substances.
- Claims to cure or prevent disease, “miracle” or guaranteed health results, and anything barred by the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act.
- Get-rich-quick offers, pyramid or MLM schemes, guaranteed investment returns, and unregistered crypto, forex or trading offers.
- Counterfeit goods, fake documents or certificates, hacking, spyware and surveillance tools.
- Hate, discrimination, violence, or content that exploits tragedies or targets people for their religion, caste, gender or other protected traits; political ads.
- Impersonating another business, a brand or a government body.
- Legal services by advocates (the Bar Council of India's rules do not allow advocates to advertise).
3. Allowed only with proof
- Financial services (loans, insurance, investments): a valid RBI, SEBI or IRDAI registration, shown in the ad details.
- Real estate projects: the RERA registration number.
- Healthcare: registered practitioners or licensed facilities only, with no guaranteed outcomes.
- Education, coaching, jobs and immigration: no guaranteed admissions, ranks, jobs or visas, and no fees charged to job seekers for being hired.
- Astrology and similar services: no promised outcomes.
4. How ads must look
No fake buttons, system warnings or messages pretending to be from the visitor's device; no misleading urgency (“only 2 left!” when untrue); no excessive capital letters or punctuation; no before-and-after images for health or cosmetic treatments.
5. Websites in the network
Ad partner websites must have real visitors and original content. We do not accept websites that contain anything in section 2, pirated or copied content, or websites made mainly to show ads; nor websites that trick visitors into clicking ads.
6. Enforcement and reporting
We may refuse or remove any ad or website, and suspend or close accounts that break this policy; repeated or serious breaches lead to closure. To report an ad or a website, email connect@verifiedenquiries.com.
